FAQ

Answers to common SupportPage questions about inactive pages, domains, Turnstile, email replies, and more.

Quick answers for operators running SupportPage. For deeper walkthroughs, follow the linked docs.

Why is my support page showing as inactive?

Your public form can show inactive or unavailable for several reasons:

CauseFix
UnpublishedOpen Publishing and enable published state
Subscription lapsedRestore payment in Invoices and subscription — see lapse behavior
Trial endedAdd a payment method and subscribe
Wrong URLConfirm slug or custom domain

After fixing billing, republish and submit a test request to confirm.

Custom domain DNS will not verify

  1. Double-check hostname spelling in SupportPage and at your DNS provider.
  2. Wait for propagation — up to 48 hours in rare cases.
  3. If using Cloudflare, set the record to DNS only (grey cloud) during verification unless docs say otherwise.
  4. Remove conflicting records (old CNAME pointing elsewhere on the same host).
  5. Use external DNS lookup tools to confirm the record is visible globally.

Full steps: Custom domain.

Should I enable Cloudflare Turnstile?

Enable Turnstile when you see spam in the inbox, run a high-traffic public form, or bots target your URL.

Skip Turnstile when traffic is low, the form is only linked from authenticated areas, or you need the simplest possible customer experience.

Honeypot and rate limiting stay on regardless. Details: Spam protection.

Customer email replies are not appearing in the thread

Work through this list:

  1. Reply-To — Customer must use Reply on the notification email, not Forward or a new compose to a different address.
  2. Address mismatch — Personal From addresses in your dashboard replies can confuse customers; they may reply to the wrong mailbox.
  3. Delay — Wait a few minutes for inbound processing.
  4. Spam filters — Check quarantine on your team's mail server.
  5. Test yourself — Submit a form, reply from dashboard, answer from a personal email client, confirm thread updates in ticket detail.

Customer guide: Replying by email.

Customers report the form submits but nothing happens

From the customer side the button may spin or appear to succeed; no confirmation email and no inbox entry means the submission did not complete.

Can I run multiple support pages?

Yes, on plans that allow it. Each page has separate branding, fields, URL, and inbox. Use the page switcher in the dashboard.

Limits and setup: Multiple pages and Billing and plans.

Can I change my slug after creation?

Generally no — the default slug.support-page.dev URL is fixed to avoid breaking links. Use a custom domain for branded URLs instead of re-slugging.

Where do notification emails come from?

Transactional email is sent from SupportPage's mail infrastructure on your behalf. Deliverability improves when customers recognize your brand in the subject and body content of replies, even if the SMTP domain is shared.

Status links are meant to work for the life of the request. They may expire after extended inactivity or if the request is deleted. Customers who lose access should contact you for a fresh link from ticket detail.
