ClickUp

File support requests as ClickUp tasks and sync later replies as comments.

The ClickUp integration turns support requests into ClickUp tasks. Once a request is filed, every later reply on it is posted to the task as a comment, so your team can follow the conversation without leaving ClickUp.

Open Integrations in the dashboard sidebar to set it up.

What it does

FeatureWhat happens
Send modeEach support page sends new requests to ClickUp automatically as they arrive, or manually when you choose to
Send to ClickUpSend any request from its detail screen, with your own task name, description and destination
Comment syncReplies added after a request is filed are posted to the ClickUp task as comments, with a link back to the request

Sync is one way. Comments, status changes and edits made in ClickUp are not pulled back into SupportPage.

Connecting ClickUp

  1. Open Integrations and click Connect ClickUp.
  2. ClickUp asks which Workspaces SupportPage may use. Select every Workspace you want to send requests to.
  3. Approve access and ClickUp sends you back to SupportPage.

SupportPage reads the Spaces, Lists, statuses, tags and members in the Workspaces you select, and creates tasks and comments. Your ClickUp credentials are stored encrypted and never sent to the browser.

Each account connects one ClickUp user, which can authorize several Workspaces. Once connected, the Integrations screen shows the authorized Workspaces, the ClickUp account that connected them, when it was connected, and the last successful sync.

Sending requests to ClickUp

After connecting, the Sending requests to ClickUp card lets you choose how requests submitted to the selected support page become ClickUp tasks, and where they're created.

Choose a send mode

Under Send new requests to ClickUp, pick one:

ModeBehavior
AutomaticallyA ClickUp task is created for every new request as it arrives
ManuallyNothing is filed on arrival. You choose which requests to send with Send to ClickUp on the request screen

Choose a default destination

Pick where tasks go, from the top down:

  • Workspace (required)
  • Space (required)
  • List (required). Lists inside a Folder show the Folder's name next to them.
  • Status, from the List's statuses. Leave it on List default to use the List's first status.
  • Priority (Urgent, High, Normal or Low)
  • Assignees, one or more people who can see the List
  • Tags, from the Space's tags

In automatic mode, new tasks are created here. In manual mode, the destination prefills the Send to ClickUp form, and you can change it for each request.

Click Save settings to apply. Remove settings clears the mode and destination for this support page; your ClickUp connection stays in place.

Sending a single request

Every request's detail screen has a ClickUp panel. When the request isn't linked to ClickUp yet, click Send to ClickUp to open a form with:

  • Task name, prefilled with the request's subject
  • Description in Markdown, prefilled with the request and the conversation so far
  • The destination fields, prefilled from the support page's settings

Edit anything you need and click Send to ClickUp. This works in either mode.

Once linked, the panel shows the ClickUp task, whether it was filed automatically or manually, and how many replies have synced.

Comment sync

After a request is filed, each new reply on it is posted to the ClickUp task as a plain-text comment, naming who wrote it and linking back to the request in SupportPage. When you send a request manually, replies written before that point are already in the prefilled description.

When something fails

SupportPage retries automatically if ClickUp is rate limiting or temporarily unavailable. It never creates the same task or comment twice: before retrying, it checks ClickUp for one it already created. If a task or comment still can't be sent:

  • The request's ClickUp panel shows the error and a Retry button.
  • The Integrations screen lists recent failures under Sync failures, with a link to each affected request.

Reconnecting

If ClickUp rejects SupportPage's access, the Integrations screen shows Needs reconnect. Click Reconnect ClickUp and approve access again. Until you do, no tasks are created and send settings can't be changed.

Reauthorize runs the same approval again on a healthy connection. Use it to add a Workspace you didn't select the first time.

Removed Workspaces

If the Workspace in your saved destination is no longer authorized, nothing is sent automatically. Reconnect and select that Workspace again, or choose a destination in another Workspace and save.

Disconnecting

Click Disconnect on the Integrations screen. SupportPage deletes the stored connection. Tasks already created stay in ClickUp.

Anything still waiting to be sent is marked as failed, so you can retry it from the request after reconnecting.
